Walking to Hampnett

CRC: Background information

The Cheltenham Rambling Club was founded in 1942 and is affiliated to the Ramblers Association. It is a friendly club and always welcomes new members. We offer walks for all ages and abilities in Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. These walks may be of varying lengths and usually take place at the weekend, but in the summer there is also a busy programme of short evening walks on week-days.

Our programme also includes walking weekends for members which may involve bed and breakfast or camping accomodation. In recent years, we have started to organise the occasional group holiday in Europe. The club also organises social activities for members such as Barn dances, skittles evenings, quizes and barbeques.

The club is run on a voluntary basis and the programme managed by an elected committee. All of our walk leaders and social organisers are volunteers. We are always happy to have new leaders and support will be given to all first-time leaders by experienced club members.
