Bad Weather - please read!
When there are bad weather conditions - common sense applies!
If conditions are bad then the leader reserves the right to cancel walks at short notice.
Programme holders planning to do a walk in doubtful weather conditions, should contact leaders to find out if walks are still going ahead (where this is not obvious) and remember that some walks involving long distance travel will require this anyway.

70th Anniversary Celebrations 1942 - 2012
Shelagh is investigating a DIY holiday in Göttingen (one of Cheltenham’s twin towns) for the 70th Anniversary
of Cheltenham Rambling Club (Summer 2012). As a town, Göttingen has many interesting features, and there
is excellent walking in the Harz Mountains about 40 miles from Göttingen. As a DIY holiday, members will
arrange their own transport and accommodation, choosing a town, mountain or two-centre holiday. Meeting
arrangements for club activities will be published.
Guy is proposing to take Harold (our club mascot) for a walk along the Cotswold Way. The intention is a 48
hour relay from end-to-end with Harold as the baton. Participating members can choose which stages to
walk, and hopefully some non-walkers will offer refreshments at stage boundaries.
The committee welcomes other ideas for our anniversary celebrations, and also volunteers willing to help
organising events.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM was held on Monday 14 November 2011 at the Victory Club, Cheltenham.
